The London Gazette – June 1693
This is an original issue of *The London Gazette*, published between June 26th and June 29th, 1693. This particular issue details Assize Circuits and prominently features news from Vienna, reflecting the political and military climate of the time. The broadsheet format is typical of early newspapers, providing a fascinating glimpse into the dissemination of information during the late 17th century.
Condition and Collectibility
The gazette exhibits signs of age, including paper loss, tears, and foxing, consistent with its over 300-year history. Despite these imperfections, it remains a remarkably well-preserved example of a rare historical document. This piece would be of significant interest to collectors of ephemera, historians, and those fascinated by the evolution of journalism and early news reporting.
