This lot comprises a pair of large mid century brass table lamp bases in a colonial revival style. Each base has a turned, stepped form, with a broad circular foot, a tiered collar, a rounded central body and a slender upper stem that rises to a fitted lamp holder. The polished brass finish reflects the traditional proportions associated with colonial revival design. Each base is fitted with a wire lamp shade frame, and no shades are included in this lot.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The brass shows the general wear and patina expected of pieces of this age, with darker tarnish visible in the recesses and small marks to the lower bases. The lamp bases are offered as found, and their electrical condition has not been tested. No maker’s mark is evident. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question.
