Victorian Green Glass Bon Bon Baskets
This charming pair of bon bon basket dishes dates back to the Victorian era, registered design 1888. Crafted from green glass, these baskets feature intricate detailing and a delicate, woven appearance. The handles are formed to resemble branches, adding to the naturalistic aesthetic popular during the period. These dishes were originally intended for serving small sweets or bonbons, hence the name, and represent a delightful example of Victorian glassmaking.
Condition and Collectibility
These bon bon baskets exhibit the expected wear consistent with their age. There are no obvious major damages, but minor imperfections may be present upon close inspection. These dishes are highly collectible, particularly due to their registered design and the enduring appeal of Victorian glass. They would be a welcome addition to any collection of antique glassware or a charming decorative piece for those who appreciate vintage charm.
