WW1 Pair of Medals

This pair of medals comprises the British War Medal and the Victory Medal, awarded to a soldier who served during the First World War. The medals are constructed of bronze and silver respectively, and are ribbon-mounted for wear. The British War Medal features the effigy of King George V, while the Victory Medal depicts the winged figure of Victory. These medals are associated with service in the Rifle Brigade, a distinguished infantry regiment of the British Army.

Condition and Collectibility

The medals exhibit signs of wear consistent with their age and military service, including some surface scratches and toning. The ribbons show some fading and wear, but remain largely intact. This pair represents a tangible piece of history, offering a connection to the individual who served and the events of the Great War. They would be of interest to collectors of military memorabilia, particularly those focused on the First World War or the Rifle Brigade.
