Ornament Collection
This lot features a charming collection of vintage paper mache ornaments. Included are a whimsical cat figure and a decorated egg, both crafted using the traditional paper mache technique. Alongside these are a small wooden bowl and a painted apple, adding to the eclectic mix of decorative items. The style suggests a folk art influence, likely dating from the mid-20th century.
Condition and Collectibility
The ornaments show signs of age and wear, consistent with their vintage nature. There are minor imperfections to the paper mache surfaces, and the paint may exhibit some fading or chipping. These imperfections contribute to the character and authenticity of the pieces, making them desirable for collectors of folk art and vintage ephemera. The wooden bowl and apple complement the set, offering a complete decorative grouping.
