Persian Gilded Filigree Floral Bracelet
This highly decorative gilded Persian bracelet is worked with allover filigree floral motifs. It is offered as a striking example of gilt metalwork with a distinctly ornamental character.
The bracelet is formed of six openwork rosette panels, each built up from finely twisted wire scrolls arranged in a radiating floral pattern. Each rosette has a small pale bead at its centre, and the panels are linked by fine chain and small connecting elements. The piece closes with a ring clasp at one end of the fine chain. The overall effect is light and lacy, with the gilded finish giving the openwork an even, warm glow.
Condition and Collectability
The bracelet appears intact, with no obvious losses to the filigree panels or the linking chain as viewed. The gilded surface shows an even colour across the rosettes. Its openwork construction and the density of the wirework make it an attractive piece for collectors of Persian and Middle Eastern decorative jewellery, as well as for buyers seeking an ornate statement bracelet with a traditional filigree style.
