Pig & Whistle Free House Restaurant Pub Sign
This lot is a pub sign for the Pig & Whistle, advertised as a Free House and Restaurant. The wording is arranged in three bands: “Pig & Whistle” in a black, decorative script at the top, “FREE HOUSE” in bold red capitals beneath a red rule, and “Restaurant” in a dark, ornate lettering across the lower section. The central panel carries a black illustration of a pig playing a whistle, with a small musical note beside it, set against the plain white ground. A Barclaycard sticker is affixed to the lower right corner.
Condition and Originality
The sign shows overall wear, with surface grime, scuffing and scattered marks across the white ground, and some scratches visible in the lower central area. The red edging along the lower left and bottom edges appears to have worn or chipped in places. A small paper lot label is attached to the upper left corner. The sign’s age and the extent of its originality cannot be confirmed from the available information. Its weathered presentation may appeal to collectors of pub memorabilia and to those interested in traditional British pub signage and its graphic style.

Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
