Two-Piece Pine Farmhouse Dresser and Glazed Display Cabinet
This two-piece pine farmhouse dresser combines a glazed display cabinet above a base unit with a solid worktop. The upper section has two glazed doors, each divided into six panes, and a moulded cornice along the top. Beneath the glazed doors sit two small drawers with turned wooden knobs. The lower section has two drawers set above two panelled cupboard doors, which also carry turned wooden knobs, and the piece is finished in a warm, natural pine colour typical of traditional country kitchen furniture.
Condition and Originality
The dresser shows general signs of age and use. Scuffing and marks are visible to the lower panelled doors, and the worktop shows surface wear. The glazing and the knobs appear to be original to the piece, although this has not been verified. Its traditional form and two-part construction will appeal to collectors and buyers seeking a practical pine dresser for a farmhouse or country-style interior.
