Antique P&O Chusan Steam Navigation Spoon
This is a decorative antique sterling silver souvenir spoon commemorating the P&O (Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company) vessel, the “Chusan”. The spoon features an ornate handle adorned with a crest and the inscription “QUIS NOS SEPARABIT” (Who shall separate us). The spoon bowl is embossed with the ship’s name “CHUSAN” and the company’s name, with detailed floral and scrollwork designs throughout.
Condition and Collectibility
This spoon shows signs of age and use, with some surface wear and patina consistent with its antique status. It weighs 21.2g and is a desirable piece for collectors of maritime memorabilia, P&O artifacts, or antique silver spoons. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
