Princess Mary Christmas Tin 1914

This is a Princess Mary Christmas 1914 gift tin, presented to the troops during the First World War. The brass tin is rectangular in shape, decorated with embossed floral patterns, and features a central medallion with a portrait. The inscription “Christmas 1914” is prominently displayed, and the initials “M” appear on either side of the portrait. These tins were commissioned by Princess Mary, daughter of King George V, and contained gifts for British and Commonwealth soldiers and sailors serving during the war.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
