Introduction

This is a reconstituted stone bust depicting a lute player. The sculpture exhibits a classical style, likely inspired by Renaissance or Baroque aesthetics. The detailing, while not pristine, suggests a focus on capturing the musician’s expression and the form of the instrument. It would serve as a striking decorative piece, potentially for a garden, conservatory, or indoor display.

Condition

The bust shows signs of weathering and age, consistent with an outdoor display or prolonged storage. There are areas of discolouration and minor chipping, particularly to the edges and detailing. Despite this, the sculpture remains structurally sound and retains its artistic appeal. Collectors may appreciate the patina and character imparted by time, while those seeking a rustic or vintage aesthetic will find this piece particularly appealing.
