Reconstituted Stone Garden Planter with Moulded Relief Decoration
This lot is a round stone garden planter with a wide, open top and a deep bowl. It is of the reconstituted stone type commonly used for outdoor planting and garden display. The body is decorated with a moulded relief of scrolling foliage and leaves that wraps around the lower sides beneath a plain, rounded rim. The surface has a speckled aggregate finish with a textured, somewhat rough appearance. The maker is not identified.
Surface Wear and Weathering Typical of Garden Stonework
The planter shows general weathering consistent with long-term outdoor use, including areas of greying and darker staining, with some mossy discolouration around the rim and lower body. Small areas of surface wear are visible on the raised detail. A few small fragments of terracotta are present inside the bowl. Weathering of this kind is typical of garden stone and may appeal to buyers seeking a planter with an established, aged look for borders, patios or period-style gardens.
