Red Glazed Birdbath on Pedestal
This lot is a red glazed birdbath comprising a shallow, wide-rimmed bowl set upon a tall pedestal. The bowl has a gently upturned rim and a smooth, rounded interior. The pedestal tapers slightly towards the bowl and rests on a stepped, moulded base. The glazed finish gives the piece a uniform deep red colour, and its simple, traditional profile makes it a practical addition to a garden, patio or outdoor space.
Condition and Collectability
The birdbath shows signs of age and outdoor use. There is visible wear to the glaze, with some darker marks along the pedestal and a few areas where the finish appears dulled. A pale deposit is present in the bowl. The rim and base show light surface wear consistent with time spent outdoors. The lot is offered as seen, and no testing has been carried out. Its original glazed finish and classic form may appeal to garden enthusiasts and buyers seeking a characterful birdbath for restoration or reuse.
