Reeves Folding Artist Easel with Calligraphy Books
This lot comprises a Reeves folding artist easel in a wooden case, offered with a selection of calligraphy books and writing accessories. The case has a hinged lid with brass fittings and a leather-covered carrying handle. When opened, an upright easel panel rises from the interior, and the base is fitted with divided compartments for pens and ink. The lot includes Beginner’s Guide to Calligraphy by Janet Mehigan and Mary Noble, a three-stage guide to letter art, and a Manuscript Calligraphy Practice Pad with practice sheets and guideline sheets. Also offered are three dark blue pens, a box of blue ink cartridges, and a small block, together with loose printed material.
Condition and Collectability
The wooden case shows general wear consistent with use, and the brass catches and hinges have been handled. The books and practice pad show signs of handling, and the practice pad has printed guide sheets. No claim is made as to completeness or working order, and buyers are advised to inspect the lot in person or ask questions before the sale. The lot may appeal to calligraphy enthusiasts, students of lettering, or collectors of vintage artist’s equipment looking for a presentable folding easel case with matching study materials.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
