Royal Albert Limited Edition Wash Stand Teapot
This Royal Albert limited edition wash stand teapot is a novelty teapot modelled as a washstand, with a cabinet base, a raised splashback and a marble-effect top. The top holds a rose-patterned jug and basin, along with a small rose-bordered towel draped over the edge and a dish. The body is finished in a warm buff glaze, with the spout and handle forming the sides of the cabinet. The two cabinet doors are moulded with stylised foliage in relief and fitted with gilt-tone hinges and handles, and the design is decorated with rose motifs that echo the pattern of the washstand set.
Condition and Collectability
The teapot is offered as presented, and the condition shown is as seen in the images. No damage is clearly visible in the images provided, but a full assessment of the glaze, gilding and the individual pieces on the top is not possible from these views, so bidders are encouraged to ask for further images or details before bidding. The piece is listed as a limited edition, and its combination of a novelty form with a decorative rose pattern is likely to appeal to collectors of Royal Albert, novelty teapots and themed tableware.
