Royal Coronation 1953 White Opaline Condiment Set in a Mixed Lot

This lot offers a white opaline condiment set, described as a Royal Coronation 1953 piece, displayed alongside three other lidded vessels. The set includes a circular chrome-trimmed stand holding shakers, a stoppered bottle and a cream-coloured handled stirrer or spoon. Its sits among a pressed glass jar, a metal canister and a hexagonal glass dish with a metal lid, which together make up a varied collection of tableware.

The condiment set is made of white opaline glass, with panels that appear to carry crests in gold-coloured decoration. The shakers have silver-tone metal tops, and the stand has a chrome rim and small feet. The pressed glass jar has a cream-coloured knob lid and a cut pattern to its body. The metal canister has an embossed design and a red knob to its lid, while the hexagonal dish has a moulded glass base with a metal dome lid and a cream knob. Each piece has its own character, making the lot suitable for display or for collectors of table and kitchen items.

Condition and Collector Appeal

No cracks, chips or breaks are visible in the photographs. Some dulling is visible on the metal surfaces of the canister and the chrome lids, which is consistent with age and handling. The condition of the glass and the presence of any further damage cannot be fully judged from the images, so bidders are encouraged to view the lot in person or ask for additional photographs before bidding. Commemorative coronation pieces from 1953 remain popular with collectors of royal memorabilia and vintage tableware, and this mixed lot offers several pieces to add to a display or use in a collection.
