Salter Model 250 Postage Scales
This is a Salter model 250 postage scale, a classic example of early 20th-century weighing technology. The scale features a circular dial with markings for both pounds and ounces, and a robust metal construction designed for repeated use in a postal or commercial setting. The design is functional and utilitarian, typical of the era, with a focus on accuracy and durability.
Condition
This Salter scale exhibits signs of age and use, including a crack in the glass cover. Despite this, the mechanism appears largely intact, and the scale retains much of its original character. Collectors often appreciate these scales for their historical significance and aesthetic appeal, and this example would be a good addition to a collection of vintage weighing equipment or postal memorabilia.
