Tray of Mixed Sea Shells

This lot comprises a tray of assorted sea shells, offered as a mixed collection of natural marine specimens. The largest piece is a conch-type shell with a flared, frilled lip and a smooth pink interior. Alongside it sits a scallop shell with radiating ribs and orange-brown banding, a pale perforated coral piece, and a quantity of smaller bivalves, spiral shells and fragments in varying shades of cream, mauve, grey and tan. The assembly is arranged on a dark green circular tray.

Condition and Collector Interest

The shells show natural surface soiling and some sediment, particularly on the larger conch, and the sizes and condition of the smaller pieces vary throughout the lot. No further condition details are given beyond what is visible, and the lot is offered as seen. The mix of larger showpieces and smaller specimens may appeal to collectors of natural history items, those building display arrangements, or buyers interested in marine curios and seaside finds.
