The prints depict various rose varieties, showcasing Redoute’s mastery of stipple engraving and his ability to capture the delicate beauty of flowers. These prints would have originally been part of a larger series intended for scientific and decorative purposes, reflecting the popular interest in botany during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
