Set of Three Wooden Dining Chairs
This lot comprises a set of three wooden dining chairs, offered together as a single lot. Each chair has an arched hoop back with a row of vertical, tapering spindles set between the top rail and the seat. The shaped seats are slightly dished, and each chair stands on four turned legs joined by a horizontal crossbar stretcher. The chairs have a light, natural-toned wood finish and no maker’s mark or brand is visible. Their simple, traditional form makes them suitable for a kitchen, dining room or breakfast table.
Condition and Character
The chairs show general signs of use consistent with their age, including light surface scratches to the backs and seats and a darker discoloured area to the seat of the front chair. Some wear is visible to the legs and stretchers. The original spindles and turned legs appear to be intact, and the set retains its original form. Buyers interested in traditional country-style seating may appreciate the matching set, which offers a useful quantity of chairs in a consistent style. Collectors of period furniture may also value the surviving original character of the set, though interested parties should inspect the lot in person before bidding.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
