Signed Gorilla Print of Adult and Infant Gorilla
This lot is a signed print depicting an adult gorilla holding a baby gorilla close to its body. The adult’s head is shown in profile at the upper left, while the infant rests in the lower right, with one hand raised towards its face. The image is rendered in black and white with a finely textured, stippled effect across the fur and skin. The print is mounted on a cream board within a wide brown frame with a decorative moulded edge and a patterned, painted finish in red and gold tones. The artist’s signature appears in the lower right margin. No maker or publisher is named in the description provided.
Condition and Presentation
The print is presented in its original frame and mount, and the overall presentation appears intact. Light discolouration is visible on the cream mount towards the upper left, and this should be considered when bidding. The frame shows wear consistent with age and handling, including minor marks along the decorative edges. The signed print will appeal to collectors of wildlife and primate artwork, as well as buyers looking for a framed monochrome piece with a strong subject for a living room, study or hallway.
