Dent & Sons Silver Open Face Pocket Watch

This is a handsome silver open face pocket watch manufactured by J.B. Dent & Sons, Watch & Chronometer Makers to the Admiralty. The case is hallmarked with a silver purity mark of 935 and bears the inscription “To the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty”. The watch features a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. The movement is not visible through the images provided, but the case back indicates a history of supplying timepieces to the British Government.
