Silver Thimble Collection
This lot comprises four hallmarked silver thimbles, weighing a combined 20.66g, alongside two additional thimbles. The silver thimbles exhibit varying decorative patterns, including embossed floral designs and textured bands. These thimbles are crafted from silver, offering a cool, smooth feel and a subtle sheen. The inscription “for a good girl” suggests a sentimental history, potentially as a gift.
Condition and Collectibility
The thimbles present signs of age and use, with some minor dents and surface wear commensurate with their age. Despite this, the hallmarks on the silver thimbles remain largely legible, indicating their authenticity. These thimbles would appeal to collectors of vintage sewing tools, silver, or small antiques, and offer a glimpse into the history of needlework and craftsmanship.
