Silverplate Fish Knives and Forks in Presentation Case
This lot comprises a set of silverplate fish knives and forks, presented in a fitted case. The knives and forks are arranged within a satin-lined compartment, with the knife blades and fork tines shown in plated metal. The handles are cream coloured and taper towards the ends, with a slightly ribbed finish to the blade joins. The fitted case is a brown textured box with a hinged lid and an inner satin-lined section, which would have been designed to hold the cutlery securely for storage and display.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The cutlery appears to be in visible good order for its type, though minor surface wear to the plating is to be expected on pieces of this age. The satin lining of the case shows some marking and discolouration, consistent with long-term storage. Presentation cased fish cutlery of this kind is of interest to collectors of vintage tableware, as well as those furnishing a dining room with period pieces or seeking an original cased set for display.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
