Sony CMT-SP55MD Silver Micro Hi-Fi Component System
This lot is a silver Sony CMT-SP55MD micro/midi Hi-Fi component system, presented as a stacked set of separate units. The stack comprises a MiniDisc deck with an auto loading mechanism and CD sync/record controls, a tuner with an RDS display, an Advanced-DSG integrated stereo amplifier with volume and function controls, and two further units with CD-style front panels. The brushed silver fronts carry the Sony branding throughout, and the Advanced-DSG unit is marked as an Advanced Dynamic Sound Generator integrated stereo amplifier.
Condition and Collector Interest
The units are offered as seen, and no testing has been carried out, so prospective buyers should satisfy themselves as to function before bidding. The silver finish and front panel markings appear consistent across the stack, and the set is offered as a matching group of Sony components. Its combination of MiniDisc recording, CD playback and an RDS tuner in a compact format may appeal to collectors of late-1990s and early 2000s micro systems, and to enthusiasts of MiniDisc equipment.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
