Vintage Staffordshire Cow
This charming figurine depicts a Jersey cow, crafted in the traditional Staffordshire style. The cow is beautifully decorated with a vibrant orange and white glaze, and features a detailed painted face and a decorative chain around its neck. The base is adorned with hand-painted foliage and berries, adding to its pastoral charm. This piece exemplifies the whimsical and colourful pottery popular during the turn of the century.
Condition and Collectibility
This vintage Staffordshire cow figurine shows signs of age and wear, consistent with its antique status. There are minor imperfections in the glaze and some wear to the painted details, which contribute to its character. Despite these minor flaws, the figurine remains a delightful example of Staffordshire pottery and would be a welcome addition to any collection of farm animal figurines or antique ceramics.
