Genuine Zippo Sterling Silver Armor Windproof Pocket Lighter

Offered here is a genuine Zippo windproof pocket lighter housed in a sterling silver Armor case, presented in its original box. The case is a heavy wall, solid sterling silver construction, and the silver component weighs 46.76g. The base of the case is stamped STERLING, 2012, the Zippo name and the Zippo emblem, with MADE IN U.S.A. also visible. The lighter’s insert is marked ZIPPO MFG CO BRADFORD PA, with the wording ZIPPO MADE IN U.S.A. and an instruction to use Zippo flints and fluid. The lighter is supplied in a black Zippo presentation box with a purple velvet-lined insert and an accompanying care card.

Condition, Originality and Collector Appeal

The sterling silver case shows light surface marks and general handling wear, with some small scratches visible across its face and edges. The insert and interior mechanism show signs of use, including scratching to the metal. The presentation box shows wear to its exterior and to the card insert, and a price tag is attached to the lower insert. The lighter appears to retain its original box, insert card and care card, which add to its appeal for those who collect boxed Zippo pieces or sterling silver lighters.
