A Stone Duck Garden Ornament
This stone duck garden statue is a freestanding outdoor ornament depicting a duck in a standing pose with its head held upright. The body is rounded with a tapering tail, and the head sits on a short, curved neck. The bill is finished in an orange-yellow tone that contrasts with the pale grey body. The surface is textured and mottled, with speckled dark marks across the body. The piece carries no visible maker’s mark or brand.
Condition and Collector Interest
The statue shows clear signs of outdoor weathering, including lichen and green-grey staining across the head, back and body, and some surface wear to the bill. The orange finish on the bill appears to be paint and shows areas of chipping. A white adhesive lot tag is attached to the head. The piece has not been restored, so its surface wear and staining are original to its time outdoors. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
