Folder of Watercolour Seascapes by T Castle
This lot comprises a folder of watercolour paintings attributed to T Castle, with thirteen small sheets presented in clear plastic sleeves within a brown card folder. The works are seascapes and sunset scenes rendered in soft washes of orange, pink, yellow and muted grey, with sailing vessels and small boats set against the horizon or among choppy blue-green water. Several sheets show a pale sun partly obscured by low cloud, while others depict heavier, stormy skies with darker plumes of cloud. Each sheet bears a small initialled signature in the lower corner.
Condition and Collector Interest
The paintings appear to be in generally clean and presentable order, held flat and protected behind plastic sleeves. The card folder shows some handling and edge wear consistent with age. The individual condition of each sheet has not been examined in detail, and the lot is offered as seen. The group of sunset and seascape studies may appeal to collectors of maritime and British watercolour art, or to those seeking a cohesive set of small works for display.
