Vintage The Joy of Knowledge Encyclopaedia, Volumes I and II
Offered here is a pair of vintage volumes from The Joy of Knowledge Encyclopaedia, comprising Volume I and Volume II. Both volumes are bound in grey cloth with gilt lettering to the spines, reading “The Joy of Knowledge Encyclopaedia”, with the volume numbers in roman numerals beneath. The volumes are presented in matching blue-grey covers, giving the pair a uniform appearance on the shelf.
Condition and Collector Interest
The spines show general wear consistent with age and use, including scuffing and some soiling to the cloth. The gilt titling remains legible on both volumes. Lot details beyond the visible spines have not been verified, and interested buyers are welcome to request further information before bidding. Vintage encyclopaedia sets of this kind appeal to collectors of mid-century reference works, as well as to those seeking decorative period bookcase pieces.
