Toby Jug Collection
This collection features a selection of character Toby Jugs, prominently including pieces by the renowned Tony Wood. These jugs are crafted in the traditional Staffordshire pottery style, known for its detailed modelling and vibrant colours. The jugs depict various historical and characterful figures, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of the potter. Each jug is a miniature sculptural work, designed to be both decorative and functional.
Condition & Collectibility
The jugs present varying conditions, consistent with their age and collectible nature. Some pieces may exhibit minor crazing, wear to the glaze, or small imperfections, which are typical of vintage ceramics. These imperfections add to the character and authenticity of the pieces, making them highly desirable to collectors of Toby Jugs and Staffordshire pottery. The inclusion of Tony Wood pieces significantly enhances the collection’s appeal.
