Trio CS-1562A 10MHz Oscilloscope
This lot is a Trio CS-1562A 10MHz oscilloscope, a benchtop test instrument housed in a beige-grey metal case with a carry handle to the top. The front panel is laid out with a illuminated power indicator, a power switch, intensity and focus controls, and a variable sweep time per division selector with a position control. Trigger level and source controls sit alongside the vertical volts per division knob, with BNC connectors for input and external trigger. The instrument is fitted with a small rectangular cathode ray tube screen framed in a graticule-style bezel, and the Trio branding and model designation are printed prominently across the upper front panel. A National Film School sticker is affixed to the front of the unit.
Condition and Collectability
The casing shows general signs of age and handling, including light surface scratches and scuffing consistent with use. Some of the panel lettering and knob markings are visible but show wear. Vintage Trio oscilloscopes of this type are of interest to collectors of analogue test equipment, electronics enthusiasts, restorers and those seeking period instrumentation for display or study. The sticker and fitted carry handle add to the item’s history as a piece of working electronics equipment from a film school setting.
