Introduction
This charming lot features two beautifully crafted Staffordshire pottery shire horses pulling a cart and caravan. These figurines, typical of Victorian-era Staffordshire pottery, showcase detailed modelling and traditional glazing techniques. The horses are depicted in a dynamic pose, suggesting movement and adding to the overall appeal of the piece. The cart and caravan add a narrative element, evoking scenes of rural life and travel.
Condition
These Staffordshire pottery shire horses exhibit signs of age and wear consistent with their antique status. There may be minor chips, crazing, or restoration work, which are common characteristics of pieces from this period. Despite these imperfections, the figurines retain their visual appeal and collectible value, making them a desirable addition to any collection of Staffordshire pottery or equestrian art.
