A Vintage Pair of Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra Earring Studs
This lot offers a vintage pair of Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra earring studs. The Alhambra motif is a four-lobed clover form, and each stud follows this design with a rounded quatrefoil outline. A border of small raised beads frames the front of each earring, and a blue marbled inlay fills the lobes. Four small claw-style prongs are visible at the junctions between the lobes. The reverse of each earring is stamped VCA AU750, and the earrings are fitted with a post and butterfly-style fastening.
Condition, Originality and Collector Appeal
The earrings are offered as photographed, and light surface marks are visible on the reverse of the settings. Each earring retains its blue inlay and beaded border. The stamping on the reverse is clear and complete, which supports the attribution to Van Cleef & Arpels and the AU750 gold mark.
