Vintage Vernier Height Gauge

This is a vintage vernier height gauge, a precision measuring instrument commonly used in metalworking and engineering. The gauge features a stainless steel measuring rod with a vernier scale for accurate readings. It is housed within a wooden case, likely for storage and protection, and shows signs of use consistent with a tool from a workshop environment.

Condition and Collectibility

The height gauge exhibits wear commensurate with age and use, including some surface corrosion and wear to the vernier scale. The wooden case shows signs of age and handling. Despite this, the gauge remains a fascinating piece for collectors of vintage tools, machinists, or those interested in the history of precision measurement.
