Victoria China Medal with Canton 1857 Bar
This is a Victoria China Medal, awarded to British military personnel who served in China during the Second Opium War (1856-1860). The medal features the bust of Queen Victoria on the obverse and a depiction of a dragon being subdued by British soldiers on the reverse. It is accompanied by the Canton 1857 bar, indicating participation in the capture of Canton. The medal is suspended from a red ribbon, typical of the period.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
