Selection of Victorian Floral Wall Tiles
This lot offers a selection of Victorian floral wall tiles, presented as a group of individual pieces. Each tile has a cream ground decorated with a large pink floral motif, shown alongside green foliage and touches of yellow and ochre leaves. The tiles are edged with a moulded brown-ochre border, and the corners carry a decorative motif that frames the central design. The group offers a range of the same pattern in varying sizes and states, making it suited to display, reuse or study of Victorian decorative tile design.
Condition and Originality
This lot is offered with some pieces broken, and it is sold in the condition shown. Several tiles show chipping along the edges, surface wear and areas of loss to the printed or painted decoration, with some fragments only partly complete. The Victorian date is given in the title and has not been independently verified beyond that description. Collectors of Victorian decorative tiles may find this group of interest for restoration projects, for piecing together a partial pattern, or for craft and interior work where the individual pieces can be used.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
