Victorian Postcard Album
This Victorian postcard album dates to the early 20th century, with the earliest dated entry from July 1907. The album contains a variety of postcards, including scenic views, humorous illustrations, and a charming photograph of a young girl with her dogs. Many of the postcards appear to be addressed to a single recipient, suggesting a personal collection compiled over time. The album itself is constructed with a simple binding, allowing for the easy addition and removal of postcards.
Condition and Collectibility
The album shows signs of age and wear, with some pages loose and edges frayed. The postcards within exhibit varying degrees of condition, with some showing minor creasing or discoloration. Despite its age, the album remains a fascinating glimpse into the past, offering a unique collection of early 20th-century imagery and correspondence. This album would appeal to collectors of ephemera, postcard enthusiasts, or those interested in social history.
