Mixed Collection of 1960s Rock and Pop 45rpm Vinyl Singles
This lot is a mixed quantity of 45rpm seven-inch vinyl singles, stored upright in a white plastic basket. The collection is described as mainly 1960s rock and pop. Many records are housed in paper company sleeves, and several sleeves carry printed artwork in a range of colours. Visible sleeve details include a CBS Records sleeve printed with the address 28-30 Theobalds Road, London WC1, a Morgen EP sleeve marked 21022 EPH and HI-FI, and sleeves bearing RCA Victor branding with mono catalogue numbers RCX-7119 and RCX-216. A sleeve titled Beggars Banquet is also visible, with a handwritten note on the front. A number of larger black discs are stacked to the right of the basket, one with a red centre label.
Condition, Originality and Collector Interest
The paper sleeves show visible wear, including yellowing, creasing, edge splits and tears, and some sleeves appear faded or marked. Because the lot is mixed, condition varies from one sleeve to another. The condition of the discs themselves, including surface wear, noise and playing quality, cannot be judged from the photographs and is not visible in the images. The photographs do not confirm whether every record is present. The lot is offered as seen. Collectors of 1960s pop and rock may be drawn to the variety of label and sleeve designs, the RCA Victor and CBS sleeves, and the chance to build or add to a group of original period singles.
