Vintage and Antique Postcard Collection
This lot comprises a large quantity of vintage and antique postcards, presented loose in a yellow cardboard box with further cards laid out alongside it. The assortment spans a range of styles, including black and white and colour views, urban scenes with crowds and street layouts, panoramic cityscapes, and humorous greetings cards with German lettering. Some cards are handwritten on the reverse, and several appear to be older hand-coloured or sepia-toned examples. Sizes and printing methods vary across the group, reflecting the mixed nature of the lot.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The cards are unsorted and show varying degrees of age, with some edges and corners exhibiting wear and handling marks. As a mixed group, individual condition will vary and buyers are encouraged to view the lot in person or request further details prior to bidding. The combination of early and later examples, together with the range of subjects and scripts, makes this lot of interest to collectors of topographical views, ephemera and social history, as well as those seeking material for research, display or resale.
