Vintage Gauges Lot with Bacharach Draftrite Kit

This lot brings together a selection of vintage gauges and instruments laid out on a blue surface. It includes a Volts meter and an Amperes meter, both with brass-rimmed bezels and mounted on flat bases, along with a pressure gauge scaled in LBS/IN2 up to 200. There is also a black-faced Free Air dial with graduations from 0 to 70, a yellow-faced dial indicator with a metal plunger, and a capstan-style fitting mounted on a square wooden plinth. The Draftrite items form a distinct group: a folded instruction leaflet headed Draftrite Instructions, a black leather-look pouch, and an original carton printed with the Bacharach logo and the wording “This Carton Contains Bacharach Sales No. 13-3001”. Together the group reflects the mixed range of workshop and test instruments that were once common in trade and service use.

Condition and Collector Appeal

The items show the expected signs of age and handling. The brass surrounds of the meters are tarnished in places, the faces have some discolouration, and the cardboard carton shows edge wear, creasing and a torn corner to the printed panel. The instruction leaflet is creased but legible. These gauges have not been tested and no claims are made as to their function or accuracy, so they should be considered display or study pieces. Their original packaging and matching Bacharach branding add interest for collectors of vintage instrumentation, trade memorabilia and early workshop equipment, particularly those who appreciate a lot presented with its original documentation.
