Balance Scales, Vase & Jug Set
This lot comprises a set of vintage Viking balance scales, alongside a decorative brass vase and jug. The scales feature a classic design with pans suspended from a central beam, likely used for measuring weights in a bygone era. The accompanying brass vase and jug exhibit traditional craftsmanship, with embossed detailing and a warm, golden hue, suggesting they were once used for display or serving purposes.
Condition & Collectibility
The scales, vase, and jug show signs consistent with age and use, including patina and minor wear. While the functionality of the scales is not assessed, they present a charming aesthetic appeal for collectors of antique weighing instruments or brassware. This set would be a unique addition to a vintage display, a period-themed setting, or a collector’s cabinet.
