Three Vintage Brass and Leather Bellows
This lot comprises three vintage fire bellows, each combining a brass front plate with a leather body and a brass nozzle. The left-hand example features a raised brass panel depicting a sailing ship at sea, while the centre bellows has a leather body with a small applied brass sailing vessel and a wooden-effect face. The right-hand example has a brass front decorated in relief with a scene of figures gathered around a table, set above a black leather body with decorative studs. Each piece shows a handle at the rear and the rivet detailing typical of traditional fireside bellows.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The three bellows show wear consistent with their age, including tarnishing and general patina to the brass fronts and nozzles, along with scuffs and marks to the leather bodies. Decorative studs and fixings are present on each example. Their varied nautical and figurative designs, together with the differing finishes across the set, make this lot of interest to collectors of maritime-themed domestic items and to those seeking vintage fireside accessories for a period interior.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
