Vintage Cardboard Cable Spools and Electric Wiring
This lot comprises a box of vintage cardboard spools of electric wiring, including twin and earth cables. The assortment includes a large cardboard reel marked 100m 1.5mm² + E.C.C. 6242Y, a smaller blue spool labelled Twin & Earth 1.5 and 50 metres, and a spool with a handwritten T.W.E. Twin & Earth 2.5 label. A further reel bears the handwritten annotation 1.5 mm² and a metal-centred spool carries a handwritten marking that reads in part as cable. Several spools have metal centres with square drive holes, and a number retain their wrapped cable. The lot is offered as a mixed group of spools and wiring.
Condition and Collector Interest
The spools show general signs of age and use, including wear to the card edges, staining, and rust marks to the metal fittings. Handwritten labels and printed markings remain visible on several reels, and the blue spool still holds a quantity of grey cable. The lot is offered as described and has not been tested. Its mix of cardboard and metal-centred reels, original labelling and clearly marked cable sizes may appeal to collectors of vintage trade packaging, or to buyers seeking reels and cable for workshop, display or restoration projects.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
