Vintage Mixed Lot Including Carriage Clocks, Opera Glasses and Puppets
This mixed lot brings together a varied selection of vintage items. Highlights include a brass carriage clock with a white dial and Roman numerals, a second brass-cased clock with a dark wooden top, and a pair of brass-framed opera glasses. The lot also includes a pewter tankard with a handle, a quantity of metal thimbles, a framed display titled Penny Farthing with two coins, a fishing reel, and a striped cloth hand puppet with a dark-coloured carved head. Further pieces include a plush bear, a painted ceramic bear figure, a stuffed doll bearing the name Funnyjim, and a small hinged trinket box.
Condition and Collector Interest
Items are offered as seen, and no guarantee is given that any clock, optical item or mechanism is in working order. Visible wear is present across the lot, including fading and soiling to the plush and fabric pieces, and surface marks to the metalwork and painted figures. Buyers should inspect the lot carefully, as the variety of materials and eras may appeal to collectors of vintage clocks, optical equipment, children’s collectables and puppetry. Its range of pieces also makes it suitable for those building a themed display or seeking a mixed selection of curios.
