Cased Set of Vintage Fish Knives and Forks
This lot comprises a cased set of fish knives and forks, presented in a navy blue case with brass fastenings. The set contains six knives and six forks, each with a steel blade and a cream-coloured handle. The knife blades are broad with rounded ends, while the forks have three tines and a matching handle profile. The case is fitted with a cream satin lining and a black inner tray with individual recesses for each piece. A small green paper label is attached to one of the forks, although the maker’s name cannot be read.
Condition and Collectability
The steel blades show surface spotting and mottling typical of age, and the handles show light wear and some minor marks. The satin lining of the case has staining and general wear consistent with use over time. The pieces are presented as found in the case, and no further information is available regarding their history or manufacture. This set will appeal to collectors of vintage table cutlery and to those seeking a traditional set for display or for use at the table.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos.
