Three Vintage Children’s Rifles Offered as a Restoration Lot
This lot comprises three children’s rifles offered for restoration, one of which is identified as a Daisy. The group presents a small collection of traditional toy shooting arms of the kind once made for younger enthusiasts, suitable for those interested in restoring or displaying period juvenile firearms replicas.
The two darker examples feature metal lever-action mechanisms with long, slim barrels and wooden stocks, with a moulded or carved wooden forend beneath the barrel. The third rifle has a lighter-coloured, shaped wooden stock and a slender metal barrel secured to the stock with visible fixings. Each piece shows the construction typical of mid-twentieth century children’s rifles, and the mixed styles within the lot give it variety for a collector or restorer.
Condition and Collector Interest
All three rifles show clear signs of age and use, including surface rust and wear to the metalwork, dark staining and marking to the wooden stocks, and general weathering. They are offered in the condition shown and are not described as complete or working, and any restoration will be the responsibility of the buyer. The originality of the parts is best assessed on inspection, and the lot may appeal to restorers seeking projects or to collectors building a display of vintage children’s rifles.
