Introduction
This is a vintage child’s highchair, likely dating to the early to mid 20th century. Constructed from solid oak, it features a shaped seat and back, supported by four turned legs connected by stretchers for stability. The design is simple and functional, typical of the period, and suggests it was intended for everyday use in a family home. The chair’s construction and style indicate a focus on durability and practicality.
Condition
This highchair exhibits signs of age and use, with wear and patina consistent with its vintage. The wood shows some surface scratches and minor imperfections, but the overall structure appears sound. While not pristine, this adds to its character and authenticity, making it a desirable piece for collectors of antique children’s furniture or those seeking a charming, rustic addition to their home.
