Vintage and Novelty Christmas Card Lot
This lot comprises a substantial quantity of assorted vintage Christmas cards, offered together as a single bag. The cards carry a range of seasonal and family-themed messages, with legible wording including “Happy Christmas Sister”, “Merry Christmas Grandad”, “To a Special Brother” and “To a Wonderful Granddaughter”. Designs vary widely, from traditional scenes of candles, pine foliage and holly to sentimental illustrations of children, animals and festive interiors. Several cards are novelty designs, including a pig in a party hat and a cartoon bear in a Santa hat, and some feature decorative gold foil, embossed or textured finishes.
Condition and Collectability
The cards have not been examined individually, and the lot is offered as seen. Many examples appear to be housed in cellophane sleeves, and the group shows the usual variation expected of cards of this age and type, including differences in print and finish. No envelopes or matching sets are guaranteed. The assortment will appeal to collectors of Christmas ephemera, nostalgia enthusiasts, and buyers seeking vintage greetings for craft projects, scrapbooking or decorative display. The variety of sentiments and novelty designs makes this a versatile bundle for those building a themed collection.
