Vintage Corgi and Matchbox Diecast Model Car Collection
This lot is a collection of diecast model cars, including boxed examples from Corgi’s Cars of the 50’s range and Matchbox Models of Yesteryear. The boxed Corgi models include a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, with a second Corgi model in a matching box. Two Matchbox Models of Yesteryear are presented in their yellow window boxes, one in red and one in black. A further group of loose models includes classic-style saloons, open tourers and roadsters in a variety of colours, along with a small red model with a towing hitch.
Condition and Collectability
The Corgi boxes show general age-related wear, with some marks and scuffing to the card. The Matchbox window boxes also show signs of age. The loose models vary in condition and display the expected wear for vintage diecast. The lot offers a range of retro motoring designs from two well-known British and American model makers, and may appeal to collectors of 1950s-inspired cars or those building a themed display.
